Welcome, friends and family,
You are currently on the home page of Var Coberly's website and e-portfolio. Here you will find the best works of my college career at Penn State thus far. The selections are varied, where I've chosen my favorites of my blogging, essays, audio-essays, and presentations. All of these are from my Communication Arts and Sciences classes, with the exception of one Philosophy class essay. Also, if you still would like to learn more about me, I have included a brief look at my life through pictures. You may navigate to any of these using the tabs above. Please note that the essays must be downloaded to your computer by clicking on the appropriate buttons if you wish to read them. Enjoy!

A few words about why the website design and layout is personal:
- For two winters I cut, split, and sold firewood to the local community. I truly enjoy it, and so I've chosen the wooden background here and on the Good Eating logo.
- Nearly every font is serif, because serif is classy, and so am I.
- The design is generally simple, and not overwhelming. I always seek for the most complete, yet simplest solution, and I pride myself in being down-to-earth.
- The orange theme frequently used with Good Eating was chosen because orange is typically associated with hunger.
- The photo at the top of this page was taken at "Leagues", the culmination of a track and field season where I lived. The full photo shows me holding my javelin. In the brief history section of this website, I mention my final personal best in javelin. This photo above was taken just after I threw that personal best.
